Zachary started his journey into the world of wine working for a vineyard management company in Lubbock, Texas before being brought into the cellar of Texas Custom Wine Works in 2015 to do a harvest under the winemakers Anthony Mosley and Mike Sipowicz.

After his first harvest he discovered a new passion in making wine and decided to pursue its depth of knowledge the following year in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, where he became enamored with the Pinot Noir grape. He completed two harvests there before transferring to a boutique urban winery in Seattle for a year. After leaving Seattle, he  returned to Texas to pursue his alcohol and culinary interests for several years in Austin before catching the travel bug and continuing his winemaking pursuits abroad as a travelling winemaker.

He completed eight harvests across South America and Europe, including Chile, France, and Germany, before finishing his European journey in Tuscany. He then returned to Texas to pursue gin production at Salvation Spirits in Fredericksburg.

Deciding to return to his original passion of winemaking, Zachary moved back to the panhandle and the starting place of his winemaking career to work with Cary Franklin
at Texas Custom Wine Works.
